ENVIRONMENTAL LAW

ECP seeks to innovate by aligning studies and projects that aim to safeguard the environment as much as possible from human interactions with nature, based on existing legal mechanisms for protecting the environment and using Environmental Law as a holistic science that establishes relationships intrinsic and transdisciplinary between Law itself with diverse fields, such as Architecture, Anthropology, Biology, Social Sciences, Engineering, Geology, Geography, among others. “In Brazil, the emerging Environmental Law establishes new conduct guidelines, based on the National Environment Policy (law 6.938, dated 8/31/81), the recent Brazilian Forest Code (Law 12.651/2012) and Law 6.938/81, regulated by Decree 99.274, dated June 6, 1990, also institutes the National Environment System (SISNAMA). These Legal diplomas establish clear definitions for the environment, qualify the actions of the modifying agents and provide mechanisms to ensure environmental protection in its entirety. ” In 1988, the Federal Constitution, especially in its art. 225, dedicated directional norms on environmental issues, setting guidelines for the preservation and protection of natural resources and defining the environment as a good for the common use of human society.
